BLACKBURN Hawks have confirmed that youth team graduate James Riddoch has signed for the club on a full time basis ahead of the 2016-17 season.

Riddoch has spent the past few seasons playing with Blackburn Eagles and is delighted to step up and play for the Hawks under new coach Matt Darlow.

He said: "I’m very pleased that Matt has asked me to sign for the Hawks this season, I’ve never played anywhere else but Blackburn and this has been the team I’ve wanted to sign for since the beginning.

"I’ve achieved that now and I am looking to develop myself further.

"I personally can’t wait for next season, although the team has lost some key players this summer, I am happy and confident in the new boys coming in.

"I am looking forward to another successful season."

Darlow is still looking to add to his squad ahead of the new season while the club is also set to reveal a new kit and new sponsors in the coming weeks.
