WE asked for a response from last week’s defeat to Solihull and we certainly got it this weekend.

It was two terrific performances and to win 7-1 against Telford Tigers and 13-2 against Sheffield Spartans was great.

Telford had a lot of their top players back and it was only 1-0 at the end of the first period but second periods tend to be our best this season and that was when we were able to pull away.

It was a very good win and we followed it up against Sheffield on Sunday.

We seem to have had their number this season. In every match we have played against them we have scored at least 10 goals but they have had some good results against other teams so it wasn’t an easy match.

I thought Sheffield were very much in the game in the first period but after that we were able to pull away.

We had spoken as a group about having a reaction to last week and we mixed up our lines for this weekend and it certainly seemed to work.

We were very clinical and it keeps us top of the league and we want to make sure we stay there.

Everything is still in our hands and if we don’t drop any points between now and the end of the season then the league is ours.

We may have lost three games this season but I would still rather be in our position than be chasing.

We’ve got another double header this weekend against Sheffield Senators and we will be looking to get another two wins and keep up our good form.

Speaking of Sheffield, the play-offs will be there this year on April 9-10 which is good news for us. They have been in Scotland for the past couple of years so to have them a bit closer is great for our fans.

We are always well supported and hopefully a few more faces can come over this year and cheer us on.
