BLACKBURN Hawks will celebrate their 25th year with an anniversary game, featuring some old faces.

A team of Hawks legends, including Steve Moria, Bobby Haig and Mark Stokes, have been invited to play in the one-off match against the 2014/15 squad at Blackburn Ice Arena on April 25.

“We’re all excited about the anniversary match and looking forward to seeing some old faces,” said Hawks captain Chris Arnone.

With the current team challenging on two fronts this season, he added: “Hopefully it will be an even better night if we can win a couple of trophies to parade beforehand.”

Tickets for the game will be available in advance from March 16 at the arena reception.

Admission is £7 for adults, £4 for children, with 50p from each paying spectator going towards Hawks’ chosen charity, which this year is Cancer Research UK.

Doors will open early, at 5pm, to allow supporters to take their seats, while there will also be access to the bar for pre-game drinks.

Hawks fans are advised to buy tickets in advance to avoid queues on the night.

On the evening both teams will be wearing stunning one-off retro kits and all game-worn shirts will be made available to own via a closed-auction, details of which have yet to be announced.

These shirts will not be available to buy as replicas, so this auction is supporters’ only chance to own one of these spectacular pieces of Hawks history.

Blackburn Ice Arena will also be holding a post-match celebration party in the arena bar (8.30pm until late), where a buffet will be served, and local covers band Flashback shall provide the entertainment, along with a disco.

Access to the party is by way of advance-tickets only, which will go on sale at 10am on February 9 from the Arena reception. Tickets (for over 18s only) cost £15.00 each.

Tickets numbers to the post-match party will be strictly limited and sold on a first come, first served basis.
