WE’VE won nine games in a row now and maybe part of it is the fact that we’ve gone back to a few of the things we did last season.

Before Christmas we were down in fifth or sixth in the league and we changed a few things.

We went back to a few things we were doing last year, little things that we do as a group.

We all sing a song in the dressing room after we win, it’s called ‘Beat Dat Beat’ by DJ Pauly D.

An NHL team used it a couple of years ago, the Washington Capitals I think, so we’ve borrowed it off them.

We also have the ‘keyboard warrior’ award. We have the man of the match award and then there’s an award for someone else who has put in hard work and deserves it.

Then whoever wins it one week gets to choose the next winner.

It’s called the keyboard warrior award because a few people say a few things on the internet, but it’s just a bit of banter!

Whether these things do make any difference to results, you don’t know.

But they were things we did last year when we won the play-offs and we’d stopped doing at the start of the season.

It’s good for the team and our spirit. We’re strong as a group, we really stick together.

We beat Sutton Sting 3-1 on Sunday when we were very good defensively, which we have been all year. Offensively we were good too.

I can’t fault anything the lads are doing at the moment, things are going very well and we just want to keep it going.

I think we might have won 14 in a row last year or the year before that, but this is definitely up there as one of the best runs we’ve been on in my time here.

The league is as strong as it’s ever been this year but there’s no reason why we can’t keep winning.

Our aim is not to lose again this season. We said that before Christmas and we haven’t lost yet.

We do finish seasons strongly and we’ve got two more games at the weekend, so we want to win them and keep picking up the two points.

Solway are the leaders at the moment, we’re five points behind them, so if we win there the gap will be down to three points.

We’ll go into the game at Solway confident but not cocky. We’re making sure no-one gets carried away.

But I’ve spoken to Jared Owen about it and we said if we play as we can, we can’t see how we won’t win.
