Darwen have no fixture in the Northern Premier League this weekend, but they entertain Roe Green in the ECB Cockspur Cup on Sunday starting at 1.30pm.
Christopher Clarke returns to the team in place of Mark Bennett and skipper Andrew Cook is confident that his side will bounce back from last weeks disappointing result in the Lancashire Cup.
Michael Clarkson is also back in the team following his recent injury, replacing Atif Ashraf as the club are not allowed to play the professional in this competition.
"We were not at our best last Sunday.
"But the fighting draw at Leyland on Saturday shows that this young team will just keep getting better," said Andrew Cook. "While the older heads of Gary Jackson and Gareth Cordingley are working really hard to keep us motoring forward."
