RED Rose Dry Lining will compete in their first ever Orphanage Cup final at Darwen FC's Anchor Ground on Friday.
In contrast, they will be up against a Daniel Thwaites side who will be appearing in their third consecutive final.
Red Rose booked their place thanks to a battling 3-1 win against Brookhouse at the Anchor on Friday night.
It follows a 2-1 extra time win against previous finalists, United Utilities, in the quarter finals.
Thwaites, who won the cup in 2006, also needed extra time to reach the final after they were pushed all the way by Kirk Scaffolding, eventually winning 3-2. In the quarter finals, they beat Allemuir 2-1.
Former Blackburn Rovers player, Chris Sulley, will be guest of honour on Friday night for the match that kicks off at 6.30pm.
Tommy Tatham, Orphanage Cup secretary, said: "Both semi finals were played in an absolutely brilliant spirit and the standard was very high.
"Daniel Thwaites have proved what a good side they are to have reached their third consecutive final while Red Rose are there for the first time.
"Who knows, come Friday night we may well have a new name on the old trophy."
The annual event is open to work teams in and around the Blackburn area.
