GEORGE IV clinched the Burnley Sunday League Division One Cup after a fine win over Rose and Thistle.
George opened the scoring as early as the 10th minute when a long through ball from Webb was pounced on by Scott whose shot was deflected into the far corner of the net.
Rose and Thistle nearly levelled on 20 minutes when a well struck shot hit the upright.
Ellis went close to doubling George's lead but shot narrowly wide of the target but made no mistake with his next chance, drilling home a right foot shot to make it 2-0 .
Rose and Thistle had a great opportunity to get back in the game but Boyle went for goal instead of passing to one of two unmarked players in the area.
The Rose and Thistle forward was thwarted early in the second half when Ellison pushed his shot on to the post.
George all but sealed victory soon after when a great cross from Greaves was headed in by Carroll on 65 minutes.
McLelland pulled a goal back from the penalty spot for Rose and Thistle but Ellis wrapped the game for George IV when he scored his second goal, converting a right wing cross to make it 4-1.
