TALENTED young boxer Ibrahim Shah capped off a memorable few months by meeting the Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen.
The 12-year-old Audley Amateur Boxing Club member was invited to the Mayor's Parlour to meet Cllr Maureen McGarvey in recognition of his feats in the ring.
Ibrahim became Audley's first ever boxer to reach the Golden Gloves national final.
Although he narrowly lost on points in the 52kg final to Guildford City boxer Michael Dumphy, he is still the club's first Northern Counties champion.
He has also earned an England call-up and will fight in the Three Nations Tournament in Sheffield later this month.
Meanwhile, Audley ABC will be hosting a boxing show at Audley Sports Centre on Friday, April 18.
