Golfers and tennis aces in to schools county final

Pupils from two local schools have earned the chance to represent the Hyndburn in the SPAR Lancashire School Games level three county finals.
Pupils from St Bartholomew’s competed against four other schools from Hyndburn in the Tri Golf tournament while a team from Simonstone Primary School triumphed in the mini tennis competition.
Both teams will now line up with schools from across Lancashire at the SPAR Lancashire Primary School Games county finals at Blackpool Sports Centre on June 25.
Hundreds of spectators are expected to support the county finals, which are part of the national £128m school games programme and sponsored by James Hall & Company Ltd, the SPAR distributors for the North of England.
