Ladies looking good after trophy haul

CHORLEY Ladies have enjoyed a double winning season after adding the cup to their league title.

The Ladies wrapped up the North West Premier League title with a 6-0 win over a very young Burnley Ladies side.

Captain Tani Toward led her side to glory with a goal while Vicky Coope and Natalie Parry both scored twice – Parry’s second was a screamer from outside the area.

Laura Todhunter completed the scoring.

It was an impressive ending to an impressive league campaign after losing just one game and dropping just five points in 22 games to gain promotion to the Northern Combination.

The finished five points clear of closest rivals Blackpool.

Coope top scored with 23 goals and she was among the goals again in the League Plate final where they beat Southport Ladies 4-1 at Airbus in North Wales.

Coope scored another double with Parry and Kiery Horne also on target. -2. Lost -1.
