TWO Year Seven students from Shuttleworth College were crowned Burnley Schools Cross Country champions.
Paige Knowles and James Ashworth both won their respective Year Seven races to be town champions while Brandon Lonsdale and Charlie Trickett came second and third in the Year 8/9 boys race respectively.
Other Shuttleworth College students gaining selection for the town squad included Holly Martin (seventh in Year 7), Jacob Routh (sixth in Year 7), Libby Blezzard (fifth in Year 8/9 girls), Miles Preston (fifth in Year 8/9 boys), Caitlyn Welsh (fourth in Year 10/11 girls) and Regan Kelly (sixth in Year 10/11 boys).
“There were some very impressive performances,” said Shuttleworth PE teacher Andy Stubbs.
