BROWN Cow came out on top in a seven-goal thriller against Prince of Wales at Pleasington Playing Fields as normal service was resumed in the Blackburn Sunday League.
All but two of the games survived the weather as the league got its fixture programme back on track - and goals were the order of the day.
As well as the seven goals shared between Brown Cow and Prince of Wales in the Division Three clash, four other games conjured up seven or more goals between them.
In the Premier Division, leaders Clifton ran out 3-0 winners against Intack to stay a point ahead of holders Crown Paints who overcame a very resolute Station 2-1 despite being down to 10 men when Paul Coote was dismissed.
Mill Hill kept up their challenge with an 8-1 victory atWhinney Hill.
Whinney Hill Colts went four points clear at the top of Division Two with a 5-2 win over Stanley Ultras while second-placed Craven Heifer lost 4-0 to Stanhill WMC.
Park FC beat Anchor 5-3 and Helmshore Harriers had a very good 2-0 win over Oswaldtwistle Immanuel.
Rosehill keep up their quest for the Division Three title with a convincing 7-1 win over Sunnybank.
And third-placed Ewood Blues were held to a 1-1 with Rishton Rangers.
