OAKHILL has received the Sainsburys School Games Silver award for its commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport in 2014/15.

The school offers more than 40 extra curricular opportunities with 25 of those being sports and physical activity clubs.

Every child in the school has a minimum of two hours of physical activity every week - with all staff contributing making it very much a whole school award.

And all Year Nine pupils complete a sports leadership course and teach younger pupils within school.

GCSE pupils in Year 10 and 11 also officiate and host a range of sporting events for the Ribble Valley and Hyndburn association including High 5 netball, dodgeball and the inclusive sports event.

Oakhill also has many active sports links with local clubs including Ribble Valley Netball Club, Oakhill Academy FC, Lancashire Spinners Basketball, Ribble Valley Acrobatics Academy and BEST gymnastics centre.
