Lancashire Schoolboys U18s 7 Cumbria Schoolboys U18s 0

LANCASHIRE Schoolboys certainly found some fizz after falling flat against Cheshire last week as they went ‘Seven Up’ against their Cumbrian counterparts at the weekend.

It was a relatively quiet opening half with Kirkham Grammar School’s Ben Anderson’s 22nd minute opener separating the sides.

However, the Red Rose boys cut loose in the second half to ultimately run out convincing winners.

Will Fraser-Gray, a pupil at Lancaster RGS, made it 2-0 in the 54th minute then added his second and Lancashire’s third 11 minutes later.

Callum Darcy of Clitheroe Royal Grammar School got in on the scoring act to make it 4-0 in the 78th minute before Fraser-Gray completed his hat-trick just two minutes later.

Blackpool Sixth Form College student, Kai Leyland, made it 6-0 in the 82nd minute and with just two minutes left, Zack Hargreaves of Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School rounded off the scoring for a Lancashire side captained by Josh Emmott of Alder Grange Sixth Form College.
