THERE was also more good news for bike riders in the borough as Pendle School Sport Partnerships announced a new cycling initiative for 2015-16 school year.
For primary schools in the Pendle School Sport Partnership can have a free two hour cycling session at the Steven Burke Hub paid for by the Pendle School Sport Partnership and run by ‘Go Velo’ instructors as part of an extension to the Partnerships Bikeability programme.
Schools will be urged to invite parents to attend these sessions and ride with their children to try to promote families riding together.
‘Go Velo’ will also organise free led family rides at various times during the year to build on this work.
Anyone interested should contact ‘Go Velo’ – info.govelo@googlemail.com
