Twin attack puts Saints through to county final
ANOTHER CRICKET SUCCESS FOR ST WILFRID'S!
The Year 8 cricket team won their Lancashire Cup Semi-Final against Ripley St Thomas.
In a 20-over game, they batted first and scored 219. This included a 158 run partnership between the twins Owen and Charlie Elwood.
Charlie was 82 not-out and Owen became the first person to score a century for St Wilfrid's (in recent history), racking up a massive 104 not-out.
In reply, Ripley were bowled out cheaply. Not happy with just scoring a century, Owen Elwood then took 5 wickets.
A great victory and achievement to reach the Lancashire final!
