Alistair hits the leader board in national competition

17.06.2015

A Burnley athlete has made his mark in the popular CrossFit industry by securing fourth place position in a nationally recognised competition.

Alistair Quinn (29), a level 2 trainer at CrossFit Pendle, competed against 38 others of the same, high standard at the Rainhill Trials, Manchester.

“I compete occasionally throughout the year, but I’m definitely looking to compete much more over the next year” said Alistair.

“I’m delighted at the result; it’s a huge personal achievement and one I hope to build upon. I trained hard in the run up to the event, particularly focusing on periodisation strength and gymnastics cycles with a build-up of competition style workouts.”

CrossFit Pendle owner, Mike Rawson, and members of the gym were thrilled with Alistair’s achievement.

Mike said: “Alistair competed at a very high level so to be placed fourth is a huge achievement and we’re all very proud of him.”

“He works hard on a daily basis and is passionate about what he does. I’m confident his performance will only go from strength to strength.”
