THE annual in-house Norman Niven Bowling Handicap Trophy took place on Sunday at Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket and Bowling Club Church Meadows Clitheroe.
The competition was open to all members of the club being bowlers, cricketers and social members. The sun was shining once again for this competition and a good crowd cheered on the final pair.
It was Gordon Dixon lead who took a good early lead against Alan Dewhurst.
Dewhurst tried his best but Dixon was bowling very well and left no room for him to get the block back.
Dewhurst was all but beat at 20-9 down but then got the block back and staged a remarkable fightback to get it back to 18 –20 but Dixon bowled his last wood to win the game 21-18.
