SALESBURY Primary School are to fly the flag for Blackburn Rovers at Wembley this weekend.
The stars will represent Rovers in the final of the Football League Trust Kinder+Sport Kids Cup, which forms part of the build-up to Monday’s Championship play-off final between Middlesbrough and Norwich City.

Salesbury’s road to Wembley began with victory in the heats, held at Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre, before they triumphed at the regional tournament, held at Bolton’s Lostock training ground.
Throughout their cup run, Salesbury have been mentored by staff from Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, who will accompany the team down to Wembley, where they will compete for the coveted prize against the southern section winners, St James’ Academy of Bournemouth.
Rovers’ head of community, Gary Robinson, said: “It is a fantastic achievement and hopefully they’ll bring the trophy back to Blackburn.”
