LANESHAWBRIDGE claimed victory in the Pendle Central Venue Netball League’s Champions Final.

The event took place at Pendle Vale College with six teams taking part at the end of a 31-match league, which started in September.

The quality of passing, shooting and movement at the event was excellent from all of the teams involved.

Laneshawbridge won four of their matches, drawing the other against Wheatley Lane, as they were crowned champions with 23 points.

Wheatley Lane were second with 19 points, edging out third-placed Sacred Heart on goals scored.

St Thomas were fourth with 15 points, with Holy Trinity fifth and St Josephs sixth.

Pupils from Park High School and Fisher More High School provided the umpires for the matches.
