CHORLEY Ladies produced the perfect away perform-ance, claiming a 1-0 win over North-East side Norton to bolster third spot in the Northern Premier Division One.
It was the first ever meeting between these two sides, and it needed something special to break the deadlock after a goalless first half.
Before half time, and playing against a fierce gale, Chorley saw their best chances coming on the break.
Chorley, though, stepped up a gear in the second half, and stunned the home side with the only goal of the game.
Sam Cadwallader’s winding run picked out Ruth Harrison and Chorley’s star striker converted her fourth goal in three matches.
