THREE Burnley schools travelled to Blackburn RUFC to take part in the North Lancashire Girls U13s Emerging Schools competition, Blessed Trinity, Unity College and Sir John Thursby, along with St Augustine’s, all made the trip to the Ramsgreave Drive club.
With Blessed Trinity travelling with 15 girls and entered two teams in the 7-a-side tournament.
With most of the girls having little practise time, the standard of tackling was really good and the pace of some of the players proved they had a talent for the game.
Burnley RUFC who have a active girls section would welcome any of the players who took part to join the club club to form its U13s side. Training is on Wednesday evenings with matches played on Sunday afternoons.
