Burnley Thirds 7 Aspull 37
BURNLEY Thirds took to the pitch having to do a quick reshuffle and several players out of position but confidence was high after the excellent result a fortnight ago.
Aspull only have the one team and will train together and the team structure looked like it.
Burnley started the brightest though and quickly got on the attack and pushed Aspull back in defence, good footwork and determination forced new boy George over the line but he couldn’t ground the ball.
The resultant scrum though sent the experienced Christian Allanson crashing over for the first score.
Aspull started to play some good rugby and scored three tries in the first half.
Burnley tired after the break but kept on battling with John Richmon their stand-out player.
