ALF’S Blackbelt Academy yet again confirmed its place as one of the best in the world after winning a total of seven golds, six silvers and seven bronze medals.

The club has won medals in the World Championships ever year since it first entered the finals in 2006, amassing nearly 200 medals.

And club founded and head coach Alf Love puts success down to success.

"They say success breeds success and that isvery true," he said. "We have world champions in the club and other members want to follow them.

"And they know the only way to do that is to work hard."

Chloe Love topped the medal chart with three gold medals, two in the team events and also the light contact title - her 12th title in the category.

Mia Woodward was a double gold medal winning in the semi contact and light contact in her age group with Shannon Bacon adding another world title to her collection - winning her light contact division - with Harry Hart winning his light contact event.

Harry also picked up a silver in the semi contact with Sami-Jay Woodrup, Alyssa Talbot , Scott Love also finishing runners-up while Brandon Love won individual and team silver.

Ashley Greave picked up two bronze medals along with Tejay Bacon and Alyssa while Sammi-Jay and Shannon were part of England teams that finished in third place.
