ROSSENDALE Amateurs are battling to preserve their top flight status after another heavy defeat.
'Dale are locked in the bottom two of the Premier Division after they were thumped 5-0 by champions elect Old Boltonians and it looks bleak for them now.
Old Blackburnians, just a place above Rossendale, are also in deep trouble.and they did little to help their cause, going down 3-0 at Prestwich.
Failsworth Dynamos climbed into fourth place with a 3-0 win over Howe Bridge Mills, who have already ensured their safety for another season.
Old Mancunians defeated Bury GSOB 3-0, while Rochdale St Clements were edged out 3-2 at home by Little Lever SC.
