GLYNN Dodd lifted the final major trophy of the season at Great Harwood last weekend after a three-shot victory in the Ian Holt Golden Eagle Putter.
Dodd, who won the club’s £500 subscription competition earlier this year, completed a superb first season at the club with an effort of a nett 66 to finish well clear of second place Tony Jones (69).
Graham Wolstenholme claimed a top-three finish after his round of a nett 69.
A front-nine of just 37 laid the foundations for Dodd’s victory, and the margin could have been bigger.
A triple bogey eight on the par-5 14th and bogeys at all three of his closing holes meant he had to settle for seven under par.
