Lancashire captain Bill Bromilow is hoping to go out in a blaze of glory when his side seek a third English County Championship crown in the five years he’s been at the helm.
They players are already in a buoyant mood for the showdown at Staffordshire club Beau Desert after winning the Northern Counties League.
Bromilow, who has steered the Red Rose men to four English finals during his tenure which ends this season, is confident they can deliver the goods again.
“They’re all up for it and I’ve had them working on their short games in the last few days because I understand it’s a tricky course,” he said.
The three-day competition starts today.
