Rovers have offered new deals to Danny Graham and Craig Conway as they prepare for life back in the Championship.

Elliott Ward and Liam Feeney are the two senior players released by Ewood manager Tony Mowbray having finished the season at MK Dons and Cardiff City respectively.

Graham is out of contract but is expected to stay at Rovers.

The 32-year-old scored 17 times last season to help Mowbray’s men to promotion in his second full season with the club.

He was joint-top scorer in the 2016/17 campaign when Rovers suffered relegation from the Championship after initially arriving on loan in January 2016, scoring six goals under Paul Lambert.

Of his future, the Rovers star said last month: “I love it at this football club, I have stated it every time,”

Conway has been restricted to just 28 appearances this season, many of them as a substitute, having suffered a number if injury niggles.

He joined Rovers in January 2014 from Cardiff and has played 174 times in all having signed his last deal in December 2015.

Now 33, Conway is expected to mull over the fresh deal before deciding whether to extend his stay in East Lancashire in to a fifth year.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, last week, Conway said: “It is something we need to deal with in the next few weeks, I don’t know quite what is going to happen.

“I am speaking to the club just now but I can’t really say too much so we will have to wait and see.

“I have enjoyed my time so much and hopefully I can stay longer.

“I 100 per cent want to stay.

“I want to be here, be part of this club and it really does feel like home now. I’ve really enjoyed my two-and-a-half years here. I think a number of other players will feel the same.”

Of the two players to leave, Ward joined Rovers in January 2016 from Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee.

He played 30 times in all competitions for the club, 20 of which came after Mowbray took charge in February 2017.

Ward struggled with injuries throughout his tenure at Rovers and was loaned to MK Dons in January where he finished the season as the Dons were relegated to League Two.

He featured for Rovers 15 times in the first half of the season deputising for the injured Darragh Lenihan before falling down the pecking order after the Irishman’s return and the arrival of Paul Downing.

Feeney too ended 2017/18 out on loan with Cardiff City as the Bluebirds won promotion to the Premier League.

However, his involvement for the Welsh club was minimal, starting just four times after leaving East Lancashire on deadline day last summer.

Prior to that, he had played four times for Rovers at the start of the season and leaves having made 44 appearances across two years.
