BRADLEY Dack has been shortlisted for the League One player of the month award for December.

Dack netted three goals, including a brace at Peterborough on December 9, as Rovers went through the month unbeaten.

But that isn’t enough to see Ewood boss Tony Mowbray, who won the November accolade after Rovers took maximum points, nominated for the managerial award.

Dack was also nominated in October, losing out to Plymouth Argyle winger Graham Carey, while Rovers skipper Charlie Mulgrew claimed the November prize.

This time around, Dack is shortlisted alongside Dan Burn (Wigan), Andy Butler (Doncaster) and Jack Marriott (Peterborough).

Of Dack, the panel said: “His three goals in the month included a delightful solo effort to rescue a point at Northampton, but it was Dack’s classy and dynamic play throughout which stood out. That included an amazing dribble past five players against Rochdale.”

The 24-year-old started this year where he left off in 2017, scoring in Rovers’ New Year’s Day draw at Rotherham United.

He has 11 goals in his last 18 League One games and become a key figure for Rovers since his £750,000 summer move from Gillingham.

His first in Rovers colours came in the 1-1 draw at Shrewsbury Town on September 23, with the second-placed Shrews due at Ewood Park this weekend.

The four managers in the running for the December award are Derek Adams (Plymouth), Paul Hurst (Shrewsbury), Kenny Jackett (Portsmouth) and Paul Warne (Rotherham).
