BRADLEY Dack was keen to share the plaudits with his team-mates despite another match-winning contribution as Rovers made it five wins in a row at Peterborough United.

Dack scored twice and had a hand in Charlie Mulgrew’s equaliser as Rovers rallied from 1-0 down at the break to secure a fifth successive win.

The 23-year-old has been at the heart of Rovers’ best play during their current winning streak which has moved them to within a point of the automatic promotion places.

But the summer signing from Gillingham is happy to just be playing his part and be involved in a dressing room which is full of belief and confidence.

“There’s a great team spirit in there,” Dack told the Lancashire Telegraph.

“Everyone gets on and I think that shows on the pitch.

“Everyone is playing their part, it’s nice for me to get the goals but at the end of the day it’s about the team and the three points are the most important.

“There’s a real hunger in there that everyone wants to do well.

“We didn’t have a great start to the season and we knew it was going to be an uphill battle but we have battled back and that shows the character in this team.

“Days like that when you go behind but come back with three goals to win is brilliant.”

Rovers have won each of their last five games, four coming on the road, after victories at Bury, Oxford and Blackpool.

And Dack says Rovers wanted to use the 3-0 success at Gigg Lane on November 18 to really kickstart their season.

“Everyone believes in each other and the gaffer and staff have drilled that in to us,” he added.

“We played Bury a couple of weeks back and we said after that we need to go on a run and we’ve done that.

“But the hard work continues and we have to keep climbing up that league which is where we want to be.

“We can only worry about ourselves if we can keep winning games then the rest will take of itself.”

Dack took his tally to eight with his brace at the ABAX Stadium, while Charlie Mulgrew’s equaliser saw him reach the same number with four players now tied at the top of the club’s scoring charts.

Rovers blew Posh away with a blistering start to the second half in which they scored three times in the space of 13 minutes.

Dack added: “From being 1-0 down and conceded from a set piece which is something we have been working on and need to get better at so that was disappointing but the gaffer drilled that in to us at half time that we could get more goals and then at the start of the second half in those opening 20 minutes we were relentless.

“It is nice to score goals and the way we did it, especially the second and third goals, came from their attacks and the way we countered shows the pace and power we’ve got going forward.

“It is nice to be scoring goals and playing well at the minute but so are a lot of the players at the moment and that’s why we’re winning games.”

Rovers have netted 14 times in their last four away games, but the six goals shipped means there is still room for improvement in Dack’s eyes

“There’s lots to improve on, you can’t come away from home and concede two goals every week,” he said.

“You’re not going to win many games like that, you can’t keep scoring three goals every week.

“It’s something we’ve got to tighten up on because we seem to make things hard for ourselves.

“We’d rather win 1-0 than 3-2 and be hanging on at the end.

“For them to score with a couple of minutes to go is always a bit nerve-wracking but we saw the game out well and it’s nice to come here and get three points because it’s a tough place to come.”
