TONY Mowbray was delighted with his side’s attacking prowess as they made it 14 goals in their last four away games after a 3-2 victory at Peterborough United.

But the Rovers boss was still frustrated with the goals his side conceded despite coming from behind to make it five wins on the spin.

Bradley Dack scored twice after Charlie Mulgrew had drawn Rovers level, but they were made to sweat late on as Jack Marriott added a second for the hosts in injury time after Steven Taylor had given Posh the lead.

Mowbray said: “It was a frustrating dressing room at half-time, we felt that we could have been two or three up after 10 minutes.

“The keeper made a great save from Bradley and we started the first half well and they didn’t go in but they did at the start of the second half.

“It’s something we talked about and the team worked on that, we are asking questions of the opposition and if they fall below their intensity then hopefully we have enough to get our noses in front.

“Our third goal was a pretty special break from the back to the front with real quality and precision passing.

“I’m delighted with them but frustrated with the goals we’re losing, we can’t keep conceding two goals each game but it’s something we’re working hard to address.

“They’re working hard, no-one is getting carried away but to score two fours and two threes in our last four away games is pretty good.

“Let’s see if we can keep it going.”

On his half-time team talk, Mowbray added: “There was a lot of negatives about what needed to improve and then the positives of how we could go on and win the game.

“I felt that if we could get the next goal then we could and get the win.”

Dack has eight goals for the season and was Rovers’ main attacking threat throughout, forcing an excellent double save from Jonathan Bond before Rovers fell behind.

And Mowbray added: “He’s hit some solid form in this last six weeks, his talent with total respect to this league is above the level.

“If he can add the goals to the creativity, a couple of weeks ago at Bury he put a couple of goals on a plate for Antonsson, and he’s doing fine.”

Mowbray reported that Peter Whittingham suffered a calf injury which was behind his first half substitution, while Corry Evans, substituted at the break, sustained a gash to the knee which required stitches.

Both are expected to miss Tuesday night's FA Cup replay at Crewe.
