BLACKBURN ROVERS will host Barnet in the FA Cup first round next month in what will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.

Tony Mowbray’s side were in the hat for the first round for the first time in 37 years and face a struggling Barnet side who are 21st in the League Two table.

It means that five of Rovers' next seven fixtures will come at Ewood Park. Barnet will be bidding to become the first side since Coventry City in 2008/09 from a lower league to knock Rovers out of the competition.

Accrington Stanley who reached round four last season, will be confident of progressing this time as they travel to West Yorkshire to face Guiseley.

They are struggling at the wrong end of the National League table, but thumped Shildon 6-0 in the final qualifying round to make it in to the draw.

Chorley will be looking to secure their place in the first round for the first time in 27 years when they travel to Boston United tomorrow night.

The two National League North sides played out a 0-0 draw on Saturday at Victory Park, and the prize for the Magpies is a potential all-Lancashire clash with local rivals Fleetwood.

Matt Jansen’s side have so far beaten Stalybridge Celtic and Ashton Athletic in the cup.

Hyde United, who play in the eighth tier in Evo Stik North alongside Ramsbottom United, Clitheroe and Colne, have a home tie against MK Dons.

The ties will be played over the weekend of November 3-6.
