BRADLEY Dack is confident goals will come his way in his favoured number 10 role as part of a new-look Rovers forward line.

Rovers recorded back to back wins before the international break in which Tony Mowbray opted for a front four of Elliott Bennett, Marcus Antonsson, Dominic Samuel and Dack.

The quartet impressed, helping Rovers beat Rotherham United and Gillingham and Dack believes positive signs were emerging.

The 23-year-old opened his account for Rovers with an equaliser at Shrewsbury Town on September 23 and is confident he can add to his tally in the coming weeks.

He said: “This team will create chances with the quality that we have got in attack.

“There are so many options and we are always going to create those chances.

“I think I would always back myself to score more than I miss.

“I would play anywhere in this team just to be on the pitch. But that number 10 role suits me the most and I think I can affect the game from there.”

Dack was troubled by two separate hamstring injuries in the opening month of the season following his £750,000 move from Gillingham.

He is now hoping to enjoy an extended run in a Rovers side who will be looking to make it a hat-trick of league wins when they travel to Oldham on Saturday.

And Dack hopes his friendship with Samuel, who scored his fifth of the season in the win over the Gills, can help Rovers on the pitch.

He added: “I have known Dom a few years and we seem to have that understanding. He’s top quality.

“He didn’t really break in to Reading’s first team, he was in and out, injuries kept him out, but every time I have played with him, he is a very good centre forward and he will score a lot of goals.

“In this environment and league you’re always going to try and get players that will try and kick you and push you around.

“But you have to try and see that as a compliment, they are trying to stop you from playing and you have to keep doing what you’re doing.”

Dack said he’s settled in to life in the north adding: “I think people tend to think it would be tough but as a person I have always liked a new challenge.

“To live somewhere else, fend for yourself, you don’t have anyone to rely on so I see it as a positive.

“I’m enjoying my time up here.”
