ROVERS have announced that senior physiotherapist Jordan Demetriou has left his position after five years at Ewood Park.

Demetriou joined Rovers in 2012 but leaves to pursue a different career opportunity.

He had previously spent time at Barnsley and APOEL but says it has been ‘an honour’ to work for Rovers.

“It has been a pleasure to work for such a big club and after nearly five years at Blackburn Rovers it is time to move on,” he said.

“I will forever be grateful for the opportunity Blackburn Rovers gave me to work at an elite level within my profession and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff and players for making my time here a memorable one.

“I will treasure all the memories, the highs and the lows, as that is what makes this industry so unique.

“Blackburn Rovers is a fantastic club, with rich history and I truly believe with the current management, an excellent squad of players, staff and fans it will move forward and challenge for promotion this season.

“It has been an honour to have been part of the Blackburn Rovers family and I wish everyone success in the future. I’m looking forward to using my experiences during my time here in facing exciting challenges in my career over the next few years.”

A club statement added: “Blackburn Rovers would like to thank Jordan for all his efforts and wish him well for the future.”
