FORMER Rovers skipper Jason Lowe is on trial with Premier League side West Bromwich Albion.
Lowe was released by Rovers in the summer, bringing an end to his 13-year association with the Ewood Park club having graduated through the Academy.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is taking a look at the 25-year-old during their pre-season training camp in Austria.
Pulis is thought to be on the look out for a new defensive minded midfield player following the departure of Darren Fletcher to Stoke City last month.
And Lowe is under consideration having flown out to meet the rest of the West Brom squad earlier today.

Lowe has experience of playing in the Premier League – featuring 32 times for Rovers in the 2011/12 relegation campaign.
A former England Under-21 international, was just four games short of 200 for Rovers having made his debut in the FA Cup win over QPR in January 2011.
Lowe was linked with a move to West Brom, as well as Hull City, in the January transfer window.
