BRADLEY Dack was delighted to seal his move to Blackburn Rovers and insists: “this is not a League One football club”.

Dack became Rovers’ third summer signing when he joined on a three year deal, with the option of a fourth, for an initial £750,000 from Gillingham.

The Lancashire Telegraph revealed Rovers’ interest in the 23-year-old last week, before the two sides agreed on a fee, with the move sealed over the weekend after Dack didn’t travel with the Gills to their pre-season training camp in Northern Ireland.

Dack, League One player of the year in 2015/16, agreed a move to Rovers following positive talks with head coach Tony Mowbray.

And he will look to spearhead the club’s push for an immediate promotion back to the Championship following relegation last term.

“It is a massive football club and I’m absolutely delighted to get the deal over the line,” he told the club’s official website.

“It has taken a bit of a while, but I’m happy that it is done now.

“As soon as I heard they were interested it was something I wanted to do. You look at the history of this club, it is a massive club and everyone knows that it is not a League One football club.

“The gaffer has managed in the Premier League, I know he has managed some top players, he told me about the players he is keeping and what he wants to do this year was everything I wanted.

“We had a good chat, talked about football and other stuff, so I’m glad it has happened.

“I’m just buzzing for it now.

“I’m looking forward to meeting all the guys and hopefully we can have a good season.”
