BLACKBURN Rovers have announced they will take on Czech side Sparta Prague in a pre-season friendly in Austria.
Head coach Tony Mowbray will take his side on a warm weather training camp in Austria, with the game set for Friday, July 14.
However, the venue and kick-off time for the fixture have yet to be confirmed.
In announcing the game against Sparta Prague – the most successful side in Czech football history – Rovers have completed their pre-season schedule. Sparta Prague will play Rovers as the third of a trio of games in Austria, as they also take on Ukrainian side Dinamo Kiev and and German side Kaiserslautern.
With the pre-season schedule confirmed, Rovers will play six games in all, but none of them at Ewood Park, with the players set to jet off to Austria after their first game of pre-season at Barrow on Saturday, July 8, their only weekend fixture.
