BLACKBURN Rovers have revealed their new home kit for the 2017-18 season.

The Umbro strip maintains the traditional blue and white halves with betting company Dafabet remaining as the main sponsor.

Rovers will also be releasing a new away kit, also manufactured by Umbro, later this summer.

And Ewood midfielder Elliott Bennett, who along with Charlie Mulgrew and Darragh Lenihan modelled the strip, is a fan of the new look.

He said: “It’s always exciting to see what the new kit will look like and I am impressed again.

"It’s important to keep the home strip traditional, but the added Umbro diamond to the sleeve makes it feel more authentic, as the Umbro logo is instantly recognisable. I’m sure the fans wearing it will agree too.”

A Rovers spokesman said: "The kit is constructed with great fit and bold styling at the heart of the design. Elongated articulated panels provide freedom of movement, with stylised hem and club specific stitching details completing the look.

"The white home shorts are tailored with stretch fabrics for maximum comfort, featuring contrasted knitted diamonds down the side, to match the sleeves of the jersey.

"Double welt socks in traditional Rovers blue feature a white band adorned with the double diamond to complete a kit that matches the modern day footballers’ high level of performance on the pitch."

The kit is available to pre-order now and goes on sale in the club shop from Friday.
