ROVERS travel to a Wolves side who have won six of their last eight matches with Tony Mowbray admitting Paul Lambert has found a winning formula in the last six weeks.

Wolves lost five consecutive Championship fixtures in February and March but have bounced back by taking 18 points from a possible 24 since.

The dip in form had threatened to embroil Wolves in a relegation battle but former Rovers boss Lambert has since guided his side to 16th.

And assessing their hosts, Mowbray said: “They are on a great run, they have won six of their last eight.

“They had a two game spell where they lost to Bristol City and Brighton, but they have found a way to win games.

“A month and a half ago they looked in trouble, they were unable to win a football match and were being sucked towards the bottom but they have found a formula to win.

“It will be a tough game against a partisan crowd at Molineux, and they have some very technical footballers and physical players.

“It’s a game we’re looking forward to and one we know that we can cause them problems in.”

Mowbray admits there has been little time to contemplate Rovers’ results with games coming thick and fast since he took over from Owen Coyle in February.

Rovers have won three, drawn six and lost three of Mowbray’s 12 games in charge.

And he admits he hasn’t got too high after wins, or too low after defeats, instead choosing to focus on the next game.

Mowbray added: “I think the boys can see that I just prepare for the games really.

“The last game gets put behind us, we look at the bad and the good and then move on to the next one which is the more important.

“All I’m trying to do is prepare them for the next opposition.

“We work on how we think we can hurt them, where we feel they are strong, and the focus of the week is the next game.

“There’s no time to get too high or low because you have to get back to work and you do feel despair after a defeat but by Monday I’m ready to go again.

“I immerse myself in football and the job which doesn’t give me much time to get too moody.”
