TONY Mowbray is well aware of the threats that Norwich will pose Blackburn Rovers this afternoon, having worked with a number of the Canaries players at his former clubs.

Winger Jacob Murphy has nine goals so far this campaign for City, one fewer than he managed during a season-long loan with Coventry last season when Mowbray was in charge at the Ricoh Arena.

Mowbray also signed midfield pair Youssouf Mulumbu and Graham Dorrans during his days in the Premier League with West Bromwich Albion.

But the Rovers head coach is relishing the challenge that the test will pose his side who are unbeaten in the four games in which he has taken charge since replacing Owen Coyle.

“They have a number of players that I have worked with in the past, they have some experienced and talented football players,” Mowbray said of the Canaries.

“I’m looking forward to the test of taking our team there and seeing what we can achieve and do.

“Jacob is a very talented young guy, very fast and direct, can shoot off both feet and play on both wings.

“Graham Dorrans is a fantastic footballer, he was voted best player in the Championship when West Brom got promoted the year after I left.

“Mulumbu I signed from PSG for about £150,000 and he went on to play seven or eight years in the Premier League and is a very talented player.

“Cameron Jerome up top is big and strong and powerful.

“It’s a tough ask for us, but so were Derby and Cardiff and we took points from those games, so we’ll go to Norwich and see if we can make it a bit uncomfortable and take something from the game.”
