BLACKBURN Rovers fans have taken to Twitter and our website after the news Owen Coyle has parted company with the club.
Rovers are currently second bottom of the Championship, three points from safety with 15 games remaining.
Here are a selection of the responses so far....
What is your response?
Timing could not be worse, whoever comes in must be a real motivator to get the best out of the the squad quickly, the next three games will determine Rovers future If they are just starting to lookwe are doomed.
What is your response?
Has to be Kenny Jackett did a great job at Milwall and Wolves. Appointment needs to be quick and they have to be able to put a simple effective playing style in place quickly. We don't have weeks for them to assess the squad and continue with an unsettled lineup.
What is your response?
Feel sorry for the bloke. Start of the season had to sale the back bone of the defence. Was left with no money to strengthen the squad. We relied on loanee's and free transfers, we have no pace at the back and midfield.
Under the circumstances I feel he as been hard done by but so was G Bowyer. It will be interesting to see who will be the next for the slaughter.
@lancstelegraph We should be looking at Warburton. He's got a proven record.

@lancstelegraph didn't want him in first place, not cause of Burnley cause of his track record and it proved it, not good enough.

@lancstelegraph weird time to sack him. But next decision is vital for BRFC future

@lancstelegraph We now have a chance of survival, providing of course our owners finally get something right.

@lancstelegraph possibly the worst decision. Right before our game of the season. After the transfer window. Who will want to come in ?

@lancstelegraph @tony_shorrock Should never have been appointed, should have been sacked long before Jan window...too little too late I fear

@lancstelegraph about time to David Dunn for manager
— Stuart Houston (@StuartHouston17) February 21, 2017
@lancstelegraph Owen Coyle should never have been appointed in the 1st place. Good riddance. Bye Bye 👋

@lancstelegraph right decision but wrong timing he wasn't backed and I doubt the next man will either. Club will want a good lg1 manager!!

@lancstelegraph he was an unlikely appointment, but nothing what venkys do is predictable, who's next could be literally anyone's guess.

Previous experience says this process will take eleventy million weeks. Probably re-appoint Coyle at the end of it. https://t.co/UCyiAYuZ7j
