AS things stand Blackburn Rovers are looking unlikely to add to their squad before the summer transfer window closes at 6pm tomorrow.

Rovers have room for one more free transfer or loan signing under the rules of their Financial Fair Play embargo.

They have been linked with a move for out-of-favour Huddersfield Town striker James Vaughan.

The 27-year-old has made just one brief substitute appearance for Huddersfield this season and, with his contract set to expire in the summer, he is free to leave.

But Rovers, given their embargo, could find it hard to match the wages commanded by Vaughan whose career, which started as a highly promising 16-year-old at Everton, has been blighted by injury.
