BLACKBURN Rovers are looking to add a fourth Scotland international to their ranks – as well as running the rule over South Africa’s skipper.

Reports have linked Chris Maguire, an international team-mate of Rovers trio Grant Hanley, Craig Conway and Jordan Rhodes, with a move to Ewood Park.

The versatile forward is a free agent after turning down a new one-year contract with Sheffield Wednesday.

Maguire, who can play on the wing as well as up front, scored 19 goals in 92 appearances for Wednesday, including a consolation in their 2-1 home loss to Rovers last season.

The 26-year-old is also said to be attracting interest from Leeds United and Bolton Wanderers.

Another player who has left Wednesday, Giles Coke, 29, is currently on trial at Rovers.

And Coke has been joined at Brockhall for the start of pre-season by fellow midfielder Dean Furman.

The captain of the South Africa international side, 27, is a free agent after rejecting the offer of a new deal from Doncaster.

Meanwhile, Alex Baptiste, who enjoyed a successful loan spell at Rovers last season, is on the verge of joining Middlesbrough from Bolton.
