And there is set to be a bumper crowd for their final home game of the campaign after they took advantage of a Football League ‘local promotion’ to slash ticket prices to £5 for their supporters.

Rovers recently used one of their own ‘local promotions’ to offer tickets for the home clashes against Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion and Millwall at £29 for adults, £20 for seniors, and £11 for U16s.

Bowyer said: “They’re in fine form and I went to watch them the other week against Ipswich and their front two were (James) Vaughan and (Nahki) Wells and they’ve got Ishmael Miller up there, too, so whoever plays will be a handful.

“I’ve also been impressed with (Jacob) Butterfield, he’s always got an eye for a goal, so we know it’s going to be a tough game “They’ve reduced the price to £5 a ticket so we know it’s going to be a hell of a crowd and atmosphere but it’s a challenge we’re looking forward to and we’ll stand up to it.”

A minute’s silence will take place before all games in the Football League this weekend to mark the 30th anniversary of the Bradford fire disaster in which 56 supporters lost their lives and hundreds more were injured.

The date coincides with Bradford City’s last home match of the season, when the club traditionally marks the anniversary of the disaster, which occurred on May 11, 1985.
