BLACKBURN Rovers fans have until Wednesday to vote for the player of the year.

Tom Cairney pipped holder Jordan Rhodes and Tommy Spurr to the 2013-14 award.

But this time around there could be a new name on the trophy.

MORE TOP STORIES:

Rudy Gestede leads Rovers’ scoring charts with 20, although he is being pushed all the way by the 19-goal Rhodes, while Markus Olsson has made the left-back position his own after the fit-again Spurr’s injury woes.

Ben Marshall has seven goals to his name, most of them stunning strikes, while Alex Baptiste has become a valuable member of Gary Bowyer’s squad after signing on loan from Bolton Wanderers.

Matt Kilgallon has led Rovers in captain Grant Hanley’s absence while Craig Conway and Adam Henley are finishing the season strongly.

The winner will be announced before the final game of the season at home to Ipswich Town on Saturday week.
