What were your thoughts on Saturday’s attendance? And why do you feel it was so low?

MANY claim a good cup run gives teams momentum yet it more often than not proves an unwanted distraction and serves only as an opportunity to give squad players a rare opportunity.
Add this to the fact the game was on TV, and that Blackburn were charging an extortionate £20, it’s no wonder the attendance was so low.
I just hope the club learns and gifts the fans with an inviting price for the Stoke clash in the next round as it’s a shame that only a handful saw Blackburn turn on the style and dominate an established Premier League team.

EARLY kick off, TV coverage, expensive tickets, no clue what sort of a team the manager is going to put out, January weather, diminishing ‘magic’ of the FA Cup – take your pick!
I suspect the fans are rapidly becoming disillusioned by the way the Rovers’ season is developing or disintegrating.
They were led to believe their team would be challenging for a play-off spot but patently this is not going to happen. A good cup run will in no way compensate for an underachieving team probably finishing in the bottom half of the table.

ALTHOUGH Rovers offer season tickets at reasonable prices it appears that cup tickets are not in a similar vein. £20 for loyal fans wasn’t a particularly juicy carrot.
In a small town with a narrowing catchment area, mid-recession and post-festive season when so many families are still paying for Christmas, it was perhaps a ‘luxury’ too far.
Also the inclement weather, uninspiring opposition and option to view the game on television may have tipped the balance. London-centric media folk on bloated wages probably didn’t understand that.
