BLACKBURN Rovers were knocked out of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup tonight after going down to a 5-0 defeat to a strong Manchester United side at Leigh Sports Village.
Will Keane, the outstanding Ander Herrera and Andreas Pereira put United three goals to good at the end of a first half in which Devarn Green and the returning Chris Brown went close for a largely youthful Rovers team.
Red Devils substitute Joe Rothwell completed the scoriing with a second-half double.
Fit-again striker Brown was making his first competitive appearance for Rovers.
He came through 51 minutes before being replaced and was joined in Eric Kinder's starting line-upp by fellow first-teamers Chris Taylor, Adam Henley and Yann Songo'o.
