Jason Steele - 6
Good stop from Odion Ighalo but may be disappointed that Daniel Tozser beat him at the post he was covering.
Alex Baptiste - 6
Forced Heurelho Gomes into his best save of the first half before going off at half-time with a calf injury.
Grant Hanley - 7
Made more tackles than any other player but, along with his fellow defenders, will be disappointed by Watford’s first goal.
Shane Duffy - 8
Won his headers and made his clearances and was also a threat in the Hornets box in the second half.
Markus Olsson - 7
Caught out by Ikechi Anya early on but recovered well and produced a terrific cross for Rudy Gestede’s goal.
Lee Williamson - 7
Kept the ball well and was enjoying his best spell before being replaced by impressive substitute Ryan Tunnicliffe.
Tom Cairney - 8
Showed patience and vision in the lead up to Rovers’ equaliser and struck the bar with a superb free kick late on.
Corry Evans - 7
Won the ball and kept the ball and will feel he should have won a penalty when his cross appeared to hit a Watford hand.
Ben Marshall - 8
Winger slotted into right back seamlessly and it was from his pinpoint delivery which Tunnicliffe equalised.
Rudy Gestede - 9
Only disappointing aspect of his fearsome display was that he scored just once from 10 attempts on goal.
Jordan Rhodes - 6
Had six shots and went close to winning it a minute from the end of normal time but unable to impose himself.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Rudy Gestede
Watford, particularly in the second half, simply could not live with a striker who is much more than a battering ram
