LEON Best was not part of the 27-man Blackburn Rovers party that headed to Portugal yesterday for a week-long warm-weather training camp.

Best scored one goal and set up two for Ruben Rochina after coming on as a second-half substitute in Saturday’s 4-0 win at AFC Telford United.

But the 27-year-old striker has been left behind at Brockhall as Rovers jetted off to the Algarve.

Also left out of the trip were midfielder Alex Marrow and forward Jordan Slew.

The duo were placed on the transfer list, along with Best, at the end of last season.

Slew was part of the Rovers U21s side that lost 2-1 at Clitheroe on Saturday.

But Marrow did not feature in either game.

Paulo Jorge scored a consolation for Eric Kinder’s team at Shawbridge.
