John O'Sullivan signs new deal with Blackburn Rovers

YOUNG Blackburn Rovers midfielder John O’Sullivan has announced he has signed a new contract with the club.

The 20-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Southport, took to Twitter to announce he has penned fresh terms.

O’Sullivan, who has made one senior appearance for Rovers, said: “Happy to have signed new contract at Blackburn! 

“Can’t wait for new season now.”

I only live a few hundred yards from haig avenue, Watched him a few times last season, proper stand out player. Way, way, way too good for the conference. He's going to be a big miss for them. Hopefully see him pushing for the 1st team at some point.

Saw him play a couple of seasons ago for the youth team, when we beat the Dingles in the FA youth cup, and he was the best player on the pitch. It's difficult to say who's going to be good enough to go all the way, when players are that young, but he definitely looked like a cultured footballer.
